Instructions for Moroccan Keratin Hair Treatment (Original formula)
CAREFULLY read all instructions & warnings prior to using the product. In order to discern undesired effects and compatibility issues. The application process may take 90-150 minutes depending on hair length and skills, it requires the help of another person, and you can't do it on your own. During the application, the treatment, when heated releases fumes that may irritate your eyes & breathing. Wear gloves and work in a well-ventilated area. Test on a small area first. We are not aware of any allergies, however always test a small group of hair to make sure that you are not allergic and that you do not develop any reaction to this product.
1. Thoroughly wash hair with clarifying shampoo; this will enable the opening of the cuticles. Rinse well and towel dry. Don’t use conditioner.
Blow-dry your hair with medium heat until it is completely dry and kind of straight to ease the product application. Comb and separate hair into 3 sections Back-Bottom, Left, and Right.
2. Wear gloves and start applying the treatment product from the bottom of the bottom of the back section, about 1 centimeter from the root and all the way down, then use a fine comb to verify that the hair is evenly saturated and to remove excess product.
Note: It is extremely Important that the entire head is completely covered with the solution and that the solution is evenly distributed throughout the hair before proceeding to the next step. Comb through - using a fine toothed comb - a very little bit should push in front of comb. However the hair should not be oversaturated. Any excess solution should be combed out of the hair and wait 20 minutes.
3. Blow-dry the hair 100% using medium heat. Tip: try to keep the hair straight and untangled to ease on the next step.
Blow-dry the hair 100% (yes while the product is on the hair) . You may use a round brush to make it easier for the next step of flat ironing. Straight detangled hair makes it better and easier to work with.
4. Using a flat iron at 420-450°F / 210-232°C (for fine, brittle, and/or blonde/bleached hair use a temp of 400-410F) to straighten the hair in combination with a heat-resistance comb. Starting at the nape, move the iron slowly from the scalp to hairs' ends. Assuring the ends are smooth and straight. Go over the same section several times until there are almost no fumes (it may take 9-12 times depending on the hair type, condition and part of head it is). Do not overdo since you can burn the hair.
5. Whats next: Waiting time should be from overnight to 3 days (there is no harm in waiting 3 days you will get better results) depending on the hair: if you are repeating the treatment you can wait few hours and if you are doing it for the first time it is recommended to wait at least overnight, and for real curly hair wait as directed on the product. After waiting period wash your hair with Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner.
TIP: It is recommended to use a light flat iron touch (360F) over your hair (once a day) in the first few days as the hair is “getting used to” being straight and getting ready for the change. Avoid strong clips and pony tails bands until you have washed your hair again.
